Book a flatbed tow truck for your car in the Spare app, whether it broke down on the road, needs to get to a service center, or has to be moved from home to somewhere else. Spare arranges a Spare transporter for you and follows the trip with you from the moment you order until the moment of delivery.

Spare acts as your agent: it receives your order, assigns a transporter with the right flatbed for the type of transport you chose, and documents the condition of the car with photos at pickup and at delivery.

Transport types: choose the right flatbed for your car

You choose the type of transport when you order in the app, based on your car and your needs:

Standard flatbed

A standard open flatbed tow truck for everyday cars and general breakdowns.

Hydraulic “full-down” flatbed

An open flatbed that lowers fully to the ground, for sports, modified or very low cars, to protect the bumper.

Enclosed transport (VIP)

A truck with a fully enclosed box, for privacy, protection from the weather and transporting luxury cars.

Live tracking, a pickup code and a delivery code

Once a Spare transporter is assigned to your order, you see their location on the map and follow the route live in the app.

The car is collected with a pickup code and handed over with a delivery code, so it never changes hands without confirmation. If someone else is receiving the car, you add their name and mobile number to the order.

How to order car transport from Spare

    Order the transport in the app

    Set the pickup location and the destination, choose the type of transport (standard, hydraulic or enclosed), and set who receives the car: you or someone else.

    Pay and follow the transporter

    You pay in the app, Spare assigns a transporter, and you follow their location on the map live.

    Pickup with a code and photos

    The Spare transporter collects the car with the pickup code and documents its condition with photos before transport.

  4. 4

    Delivery with a code

    The car reaches its destination and is handed over with the delivery code and delivery photos, and the trip is saved in your car’s record.

Good to know before you order

  • Inspecting or repairing the car: order accident repair or breakdown repair if you need it
  • Personal belongings and valuables inside the car: remove them before handover

How do you pay?

The transport fee is shown in the app before you pay. It depends on the distance of the trip and the type of transport, with a minimum fee for short trips.

You pay in the app with Apple Pay, mada, Visa/Mastercard, and Tabby or Tamara for split payments. If you cancel an order, what is refunded depends on the stage the order has reached, under the refund policy.
